Not sure how it happened, but I ended up with an upgrade cost that was 10s of billions in the negative. Pretty sure that wasn't supposed to happen. Great concept, just a little buggy at the moment.
Maybe found a bug. Had an unconnected road next to suburban road, which I removed and placed a park instead. Then the food income text disappeared from the suburban road, and it does not appear to make any income anymore. Removing and replacing it even after building a (working) regular road there, the suburban road no longer makes (or displays) income on that tile.
No worries! I'm making a game too, and it's a wild ride. When it comes to math beyond my knowledge I use AI, and it usually works after some verification/fixing.
I found a bug: if you place a suburban road next to an upgraded suburban road they'll keep feeding off of each other and double you food per second each second.
I think I broke the game. I upgraded a suburban road, and suddenly I earned so much it went back and forth between 14 millions and 2 billions in seconds. I think it had a feedback loop with an adjacent suburban road
OMG I LOVE THIS!!!! I'm a huge fan of incremental/idle games and this really scratched that itch. It's such a fully fleshed-out game for a single weekend, and with adorable art too, goodness. Well done! I wanna play this over and over again 🙌
Maybe an airport that generates it's own hamsters? Could also add some sort of intersection so that hamsters from the airport could go on the same road to home as the regular ones. Would definitely make it so there's more hams around.
I managed to reach enough food/s to buy a rocket every second and then my food storage started disappearing? Does any building consume food? Anyway, it's fun to play without the bug fix and I think it'll be fun once the bug gets fixed too!
It looks really cute and the combination of strategy, puzzle game and idle game seems promising. I was sad, it was over so quick.
You should improve on the game play loop and display of food production and food storage: maybe a better visualization of how much food production you gained by adding a building or road.
Some more achievements or unlocks could be nice, or different levels with changing challenges.
It took me a good 25 min on first attempt. I was thinking: NO WAY, 3 min is impossible, the first 10 min was actually the slowest... and then I realized what you did... the suburban roads compound on other suburban roads, crazy.
Found an exploit with the suburban road, as long as two are next to each other the bump each other up. Add an upgrade on that and you can max out the money in about 5 minutes.
I got 00:02:36 using this exploit. Start with 3 corners to generate income, then use 2 more corners and a suburban road on the other side, then as you acquire the money replace roads with suburban roads, starting with the ones next to the existing suburban roads.
both times i played the home was on edge of screen makes building roads way harder.. also full screen does not make game bigger. Otherwise fun bit short but fun.

very cute but how do you build above the home building like you show in the second screenshot (which spoilers btw)?
u can upgrade it! Currently you have to restart to get 2 openings for the routes. i will change so that it can be dragged around in the future!

Sorry suburban roads are so bugged :/ im not good at exponential math.

this game is incredible
also I gladly accept the title of "Mr Big Hamster"
I named it Hamster City in Steam page lol for later release.

yeah I will look into it ! thanks! enjoy the bug in the meantime XD
I LOVE this game.... (gimmie your hamster RN 🫵🙂)
Fun little game. I would really like it if there was a visual indicator for upgrades on tiles.

happened to me, it took me a while to notice whats wrong xD
It may be a bug but the main building cannot upgrade.
This was a fun 35 minute game… It is I would say replayable, and honestly, I think speedruns would be fun.

I think you guys just inspired me to explore possibility of speedrun mode in incremental genre.
what mechanic would you love to use as a way to buff the speed? cuz currently it is through a bug.

You can't beat the original.
edit: I lie to you, just got 2:04.
now it's your turn again
damn thats crazy, anyways
2:12, guys.
Is there a speedrun leaderboard?
gwehehehe i beat you by 4 seconds
I really like the game concept, but it's currently broken, 2 suburban roads is all you need to beat the game.
Any chance for a mute button?
Done!
how to refund on mobile?

Oh my god I love the character art and design here. Can't wait for the update!
Really cute game. I messed around on a couple runs then tried to speedrun and beat it in 2:56
Also love the music, it's quite calming
I love the idea and the graphics of the game.

thanks! im working on the dragging roads/adding more clarity on the production.
I won in about 3 minutes. Money Scales way too fast

como se guarda progreso :v?
Very nice, though it'd be nice to be able to move tiles that have already been placed instead of just being forced to refund them.
Working on it!
Love this game
Can't drag roads on the field :(
Lovely game!
PS: I released my first game. Thanks to have a look ;)
how do I refund
So cute and such good gamefeel. Well done.
Nice concept! A bug with the green roads allowed me to get a completion in 1 minute and 49 seconds. Cute and fun!
Same here, after placing a pool suddenly i got billions without reason (or i got refunded too much not sure what it was).
Me three! I like that it said "too much" / s

With better execution, 00:02:22.
